~ Nassau, Bahamas ~
Nassau was the first stop on our cruise.  Just off the dock you could find shops galore, women to braid your hair, and taxis to take where ever your heart desired...
You can't help but notice immediately how colorful Nassau is...
buildings, music, and people!
Above is the Parliment house just past the park.  To the right is the Nassau Crest.  It's on the Parliment house, upper floor right behind the white statue in the picture above...
The Cloisters...
Not too many tourists ask their taxi drivers to take them here...  but I had seen pictures of it elsewhere, and wanted to visit the beautiful garden.  It's on your way to Atlantis, if you get a chance.  Many people marry here, beacuse of it's beauty...
Queen Victoria's Staircase...
Hewn of coral and limestone, by hand of course.
Our personal "tour guide" told us that the staircase was built somewhat as a fluke.  Just above the staircase, to the right is Fort Fincastle.  The fort was built from the coral and limestone taken from this corridor, which created the staircase.
Above is the Water Tower at Fort Fincastle...

The pictures to the right are of the actual fort...  Us infront of it, and inside where the canons are.
